When Is The Best Time To Take Prilosec

Prelox® Tablets contain the active ingredient omeprazole, which belongs to a group of medicines called proton pump inhibitors. Omeprazole works by suppressing the secretion of stomach acid in order to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), also known as acid reflux or heartburn. It may be used alone or with other medicines for this purpose. The medicine is available only with a doctor’s prescription and it should not be given to children under 12 years old without medical advice.

Omeprazole can help relieve symptoms caused by heartburn or GERD when you are suffering from one of these conditions:

• Heartburn that occurs after meals • Burning feelings in your chest after eating • A sour taste in your mouth when you eat • Acid regurgitation (difficulty spitting up) when lying down
