When Is The Best Time To Take Blood Pressure Test

at home?

Blood pressure test at home should be done in the morning after waking up or before going to sleep. It is better to take blood pressure measurement while standing than sitting. Moreover, it is best to do blood pressure test when your heart rate and breathing are normal. If you have any other health condition like diabetes, high cholesterol levels, eye problems etc., then you should consult a doctor prior taking the blood pressure reading at home for proper diagnosis of these conditions.”

Are there any cheaper alternatives to buying an automated device that does all this for me? And how accurate are they compared with using a manual sphygmomanometer (blood pressure cuff) on my own? I’m only interested in measuring my BP under 120/80 which is important because I need it kept within certain limits… But I don’t want to pay through the nose! Thanks 🙂
