Beyond 12 weeks, most women are able to breastfeed without any problems. If you have not established a good latch by that time, your milk supply may be inadequate. If you plan to use formula after the baby is born, it’s best if you can get in some pumping before then so that your supply of pumped milk will last until the breastfeeding period ends.
