When Is The Best Time To Put Down Grass Seed

We recommend doing it when the soil temperature is between 60°F and 70°F. It’s best to get down into the root zone of the grass, so if you’re trying to use a lawn-mower or power equipment for this job, be sure that there are no rocks or other obstructions in your path. Don’t put down more than two 1/4-inch thicknesses of seed at one time!
