When Is The Best Time To Plant Tomatoes In Arizona

Planting tomatoes in July or August is the best time to plant them. The reason for this is that tomatoes are dormant at those times of the year, which allows them to take root easily and produce a large healthy crop. They can be planted throughout spring (April through June) as well, but planting should be done after February 1st each year, since summer heat can cause their roots to dry out too much before they grow into plants. If you want your tomato plants to bloom earlier than normal, make sure they are watered regularly; if not enough water is provided by rainfall during the winter months it will stunt their growth and delay blooming.
