Mums are best planted in the spring and early summer (after average winter temperatures). They can be started indoors and then transplanted outside when they start to grow.
Where do mums like to live?
In a full sun position, mums prefer soil with good drainage. In areas that have been irrigated, you may find mums need watering on sunny days. Avoid planting them too close together as their roots get tangled easily. When growing from seed, seeds should be sown very shallowly so they don’t dry out while still in the ground!
