from the garden to a vase?
As you know, a peony can take a long time to bloom. But it’s not going to flower in the first year if planted outdoors. The plants will produce flowers, but they won’t have much fragrance or color. So I recommend planting them as soon as you bring them home from your local gardening store (or at least within 2 months of purchase). If you’re growing plants for cut flowers and want the best possible results, then move those plants into their permanent location after six months or so; that way they won’t be under too much stress when blooming season comes around again next year!
