When Is The Best Time To Go Catfishing

The best time to go catfishing is when the water level is high. Heating and melting snow by hot sun can increase your fishing odds, especially if weather conditions are not favorable. When the water level reaches a certain height, it will be easier for you to cast and spot fish on or above the surface of the water. The timing that you choose depends on the situation in which you’ll be fishing. If it’s during summer season (from April through November), we usually recommend going out early morning; mid-morning; and late afternoon/early evening. During winter (December through March) season, we would like you to go out at noon or around 4:00 p.m.; don’t forget about sunset! Lastly, if spring has come (April through June), then our recommendation is for catfishermen to go out around 10:00 a.m., before sunrise! How do I catch big bluegills?

Catfish like eating small shrimps that live in streams with clear waters so they have no problem seeing these tiny shrimps swimming around under their noses as they swam along picking up food from what ever little thing they might see floating down stream… including other big greenies such as crayfish… who knows why!! All of them love all kinds of insects but some species prefer one type more than others…. Bluegill tend to eat anything that swims into their mouths except one bug..
