Normally, you should feed your dog twice a day. Feeding every 12 hours is generally good enough for most dogs and many owners think that feeding less often than this will lead to your pet gaining weight, but in fact it’s the other way round: when you feed too frequently, your pet may become overweight or even sick because of its low levels of energy. The best time to feed your dog is when he wakes up from his nap. It’s also recommended that you provide him with plenty of water after eating (not before). You can choose between dry food and wet food depending on what type of diet suits your dog better and how much effort you want to make in order for him to get nutrition; we recommend both types based on our experience!
