That depends on when you plan to consume the smoothie. If you make your green superfood smoothie and then drink it right away, it will be most effective if consumed within 12 hours of preparation. However, by 24 hours after making, we begin to lose some of its effectiveness due to oxidation (the breakdown of nutrients). Foods tend to spoil over time with age and exposure to oxygen and light; however, this does not necessarily mean they become toxic or harmful to consume! It just means we’ve lost precious nutrients over time because our bodies can only absorb so much from foods per day without experiencing adverse reactions such as nausea or vomiting (which are signs that your body isn’t absorbing enough). In fact, many vitamins won’t even sink into water until exposed to air for an extended period of time—this includes vitamin C which takes up residence in fruits only upon ripening. That said though, while some foods may seem safe at first taste but later cause harm once digested by a person suffering from a disease like cancer—it is always best practice
