When Is The Best Time To Divide Daylilies

Daylilies are divided at the end of winter, when they have finished blooming. This is usually the best time to divide them because it keeps them dry before spring planting. You can also wait until late summer or early fall for dividing daylilies but you will need to treat their roots for dormancy with a dormant root stimulant. It’s wise to wait until all danger of frost has passed before dividing your flowers so that any insects could not come back after being exposed during the division process.
