When Is The Best Time To Catch Blue Crabs

in Maryland?

Most blue crabs in Maryland are caught in the fall, from October through November. However, some anglers prefer to wait until after winter sets into full swing, when water temperatures drop and they can be more confident of a good catch. In most areas of the state though there is very little difference between blue crab season dates throughout the year. Blue crab season usually ends in late-November or early-December depending on where you live and how cold it gets.
